occupation 02:38
miles away from the war zone, underneath a little catastrophe- woke up to find some star's head, sold my last ticket the walking dead. figure the factories have closed their doors, all my little beauty marks are off to saturn. enemies fighting over turkish goods, i left your golf course back in the woods, where you should be, alone with me, maybe we'll know what it's like feeling occupied... you'd feel small if you were occupied. just like a foreigner, your mother and i will come with armies blazin and save every amazin son.

j'amais 02:31
our floating angels never to return again i sing and praise and shout i'm calling out his name floating architects are tripping just the same your body soaks itself into a snowy grave once we laughed at the crosses above our heads and where women tied their frocks and put children to bed a sickness takes us to a place we never were a bright and shiny place where all good boys deserve
11.
top gun 03:57
at the fireman's bake sale you were better off inflammable to burn off this immaculate mess imitation, yeah that's where i'm from but i ain't going back until they change the name i am an unstoppable force and you... you are my weakness. are you a doomed generation lost in lofty penetration i can't hurt you here i would never hurt you, you hear! is your safety regulated by the picture frame, i made it! sitting still would be so bold like you were made of miner's gold. i am an unstoppable force and you... you are my wing-man! is there any use in organizing vaguely caustic pantomimes take the past for example mobs were seldom useful attacking my diaphragm but only god is dead and i found that the best scripts were written by the audience and everyone involved was led astray as the prophets say it's so predictable and the ice comes from falling down and i alone am there to catch it and i can never die because i am truly guilty i am an unstoppable force and you are my wing-man

citalivinded 01:38
sometimes a fuzzy picture makes these headphones more insincere than a blow to the head. and i meant what i said but only if the pilot isn't breathing. his dark eyes cross the barroom drains our fuel now or so it seems that our favorite teams won't be finishing the race an orgiastic disaster for wingspan gray rat hey hey ace we built our homes over oceans draining our fuel from the atmosphere i won't back down now. i can't back down from the temptation to be so unemployable my resume will always say i fought very well.

sometimes i feel so overcast, a raving notion to become half-mast she said marriage was a passing phase, outgrown only by a loss in status waiting for a man who will take the shape of his fading shadow shoe box housing the photographs, taken two years before the crash space wasted and threats discarded the collection plate that i left unguarded

about

be still was supposed to be a self titled lp but because of the graffiti in the picture used for the cover, everyone called it be still. this record was recorded at asa leffer's home studio in an a-frame that had a loft. the main room reached all the way up to the top of the a-frame so was two stories. the vocal booth was the loft overlooking the main room. the back bedroom was the recording booth. the chill zone had a first gen playstation for those of us not recording something. we recorded everything live and then over dubbed the vocals and any of the guitars that needed it. handle bars was not recorded at the a-frame. ian recorded it at home on his tape recorder using a pair of old headphones as the microphone. at the end of the recording, we invited all of our friends over for a keg party and recorded the crowd vocals for top gun. we included our favorite internet meme at the time, "hello my future girlfriend", for the intro and outro because it was hilarious.
